From next Monday, 01.07.2024, a change of location for the school bus stop in the Bodenmais district of Sternpoint will come into effect - as already explained in detail in parent meetings: in future, this will be designated in the area of the upper turning hammer at house numbers Sternpoint 17 and 19. In future, the contracted bus company will only stop at this bus stop within the Sternpoint housing estate. The existing school bus stop in Mais will remain completely unaffected by this. Nothing will change for schoolchildren in the Waid area either. The relocation has the following background: the local bus stop at the central access road to the settlement, which was recently used unofficially for schoolchildren to board the bus, is not an approved school bus stop. In the course of an administrative dispute in the early 2000s, the Bodenmais market was prohibited by the courts from designating a school bus stop in this area at the request of local residents. The fact that pupils have recently been getting on and off the school bus in this area again has prompted the former plaintiffs to take action. In order to avoid another legal dispute, the Bodenmais market has now designated a new school bus stop. A bus shelter will also be added as soon as it has been delivered. The Bodenmais market would like to thank the pupils and parents for their understanding and the residents of the new bus stop for their support.
